Description
A wooden spatula is a kitchen tool made from wood, commonly used for stirring, flipping, or turning food while cooking. Unlike metal or plastic spatulas, wooden spatulas are gentle on cookware, making them ideal for use with non-stick pans or other delicate surfaces that could be scratched by metal utensils.
Wooden spatulas are durable, heat-resistant, and don’t conduct heat, meaning they won’t get hot while cooking. They are often used for stirring sauces, soups, preparing(mixing) of swallow foods such as garri, amala, poundo, fufu or sautéing vegetables, and because of their sturdiness, they can also handle tasks like flipping or stirring dense foods. However, they require regular cleaning and occasional oiling to maintain their longevity.
