Description
Green plantains are a tropical fruit that looks like bananas but are bigger, stronger, thicker and longer. It’s a starchy fruit. They’re green when unripe but turn yellow as they ripen.
Native to Africans, Caribbeans and Latinos. Green plantains can be boiled, fried as chips or mashed.
